DURHAM, N.C. – First-year North Carolina Central University football head coach Jerry Mack welcomed 90 student-athletes to preseason camp on Thursday (July 31).
After spending most of the morning checking-in with the football staff and into residential housing, the student-athletes spent the afternoon in information sessions with a host of campus entities. The first day will close out with medical examinations and equipment distribution.
The team will conduct its first practice on Friday, Aug. 1 at 3:30 p.m. inside O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium on the campus of NCCU.
NCCU's preseason camp runs through Sunday, Aug. 17, as classes begin on Monday, Aug. 18.
The Eagles open the 2014 season at East Carolina University on Aug. 30 at 8:00 p.m. The contest will be televised live on ESPNews.
