Question: What is your major and what do you want to do after graduation?
Eric Stanley: “I am majoring in Criminal Justice. I’d like to pursue a career in football. However, after I graduate in December, I am going to put in applications for the U.S. Marshals. Ultimately, I want to get into the FBI.”

Q: Why did you choose NCCU?
ES: “I did not want to go to a big school. I wanted to get out of Virginia to experience life somewhere else.”

Q: What do you like most about being an NCCU Eagle?
ES: “Game day. You work hard all week and then get to game day to get all of your frustrations out.”

Q: What is your favorite part about game day inside O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium?
ES: “The solo introductions are pretty cool. If you play o-line the only other time you get any attention is when you commit a penalty.”

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals?
ES: “I mostly just listen to music... rock music. Something angry.”

Q: What has been your most memorable moment at NCCU?
ES: “The day we won the 2006 CIAA championship. I was one of only two freshman that actually got to play on the championship team. I had a small part, but it was my first team championship.”

Q: If you could invite any living person to W.G. Pearson Cafeteria for lunch, who would it be?
ES: “Jeff Saturday (center, Indianapolis Colts). I’d ask him questions about how he became so successful.”

Q: Why football?
ES: “I started playing little league football in sixth grade. Then I got back into it in high school, because my high school coach made it fun again. He said I had a chance to go to school for free through football. Football has taken up so much of my life that it has become a part of me.”

Q: What sports did you play in high school?
ES: “I played three years of football, two seasons of track & field and basketball my senior year. I won the conference championship in the shot put as a senior.”

Q: What is something interesting about yourself that others may not know?
ES: “I broke the squat record three times here at NCCU. My maximum squat is 700 pounds. They made me stop at 700. They said, ‘No more.’”
