Arthur Goforth: “First, I chose North Carolina Central University because they offered me a full scholarship to play football. Also, it felt like a home away from home, my parents loved it, and I loved the coaches, the students, the history and the opportunity to make history with the athletic program moving into the MEAC.”

Q: What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate from NCCU?
AG: “I am a fitness and wellness major. I really want to be a head football coach one day, but I would use the major I will be receiving to be a personal trainer or strength and conditioning coach.”

AG: “What I like most about being an Eagle are the bonds I have built, friends I have made, and memories that I will never forget.”

Q: What has been your most memorable moment at NCCU?
AG: “That’s hard to say which moment is most memorable because there are so many. From all the road trips to play other great teams like Liberty, Duke, Georgia State in the Georgia Dome, S.C. Q: If you could invite any living person to W.G. Pearson cafeteria for ‘Chicken Day,’ who would it be and why?
AG: “I would like to invite Muhammad Ali, because he is the greatest boxer of all time. I loved the way he carried himself, and he wasn’t afraid to speak on what he believed. Also, things that he would say he could back up when he was boxing.”

AG: “Loving. Determined. Wise.”
